Stroke survivors share their stories about the mental and physical struggles they face and the importance of community within their recovery.
Special thanks to Stroke Care Newbury and to all stroke survivors who shared their stories.

For my graduation film, I knew I wanted to create a film about strokes. I have seen the wide variety of ways strokes can effect people. With this film I wanted to represent this and show how much community has an impact in the recovery process. I conducted interviews with multiple stroke survivors that use the services of Stroke Care for Newbury.
This film is animated with charcoal, paint and ink on paper, using flowers as a metaphor for a form of connection with others.

This film is dedicated to my grandmother.
